Thames Valley Golf Club is serious about its golf and thrives on its friendly, competitive atmosphere.
Formed in 1980 as a pub society, the club converted to a fully-fledged handicapping club in the 1990's. We offer opportunities for competitive golf throughout the year at courses across the region combined with the fellowship and fun of a golf society.
Membership is a great way to play all year and maintain your handicap. For just £65 a year, members get a full calendar of golf and maintain an official handicap then only pay for the golf you play.
Joining TVGC is one of the most flexible and cost-effective ways to join a golf club.
The club organises a series of events through the year that provide a range of venues and competition formats. All individual competitions are run as qualifiers which count towards an official handicap with England Golf.
For an annual fee of just £65, members get:
TVGC is affiliated with England Golf and the BB&O Golf Union. All members receive an official golf handicap under the World Handicap System that reflects your current abilities and is portable to courses across the world.
Members receive a "County Card" that gives discounted green fees at over 1,300 courses nationwide.
Members can play as few or as many events as they wish. You only pay green fees for the events that you sign up for.
TVGC plays monthly competions throughout the year at Badgemore Park, Henley-on-Thames.
There are also monthly 'away days' at courses across the region plus a members' weekend away every September.
Members compete for trophies at each individual event. The club also runs seasonal competitions across mulitple events, including:
